This city was a blueprint for hell..chapter 4

Again, sorry it took so long. I have to get better at this stuff :[

~Hayley's pov~

"Tell me what?" sam asked. I closed me eyes, rubbed my hands against my forehead to fight off the pounding headache that was making itself comfortable in my head. I gave Brendon a 'you deal with it, i gotta go'  and walked down the steps passed Sam, passed Brendon, passed drama, and headed for the taxi that was surprisingly still waiting for me. I told the guy where to go, only to find out that it was two blocks away. Don't i feel like a lazy bum. Along with this fun skating date, i had planned something else afterward.

"HAYLEY!" i heard someone call. Thinking it was Sammie, i turned and smiled at the person. My smile was quickly wiped from my face as i looked at Kirstin, my ex. This is not going to be a fun night.

~Sam's pov~

I busted into Gabes hotel room, only to find him sitting on the couch with puffy, red eyes. He looked up at me, and the look of sadness was quickly replaced with a look of fear when he saw my facial expression. Needless to say, i was not a happy camper.

"Gabe, is there something you've been meaning to tell me?" I asked, sitting on the opposite side of the couch, far away from him.

"What do you mean?" He was playing dumb, that much was obvious. Brendon and Hayley knew, and who else? Why hasn't anyone told me yet? Don't i deserve to know?

"Don't give me that shit! I know you're hiding something, now cough it up."

"..." He stared at me blankly, then looked down at his hands. I could see tears burning the brim of his eyes, but i wouldn't let it get to me. He isn't getting out that easy.

"You're gonna hate me if you know." He looked at me. I sat motionless, emotionless, waiting for him to continue.

"I'm going out with Patrick." He spat out. I sat there, stunned, not knowing how to act or what to do. Should i slap him? Should i ask him what i did wrong? Should i ask him for how long? Do i even want to know how long? No, definately not. It would hurt to much.

"Please, please tell me what you're thinking, i can't fucking stand the silence!" He said. Wihtout even looking at him, i could tell he was in tears. But why? I guess i'll start there.

"Why are you so upset that i know? Did you plan on keeping it a secret, having us both?" I said flatly, like i didn't care, but inside my heart was aching.

"I knew you'd hate me. I should have told you a long time ago, when it first started, but i didn't want to loose you all together." He said.

"You cheated on me." There, let him talk himself out of that.

"I know. I never meant to. I never meant to hurt you or Pat."

"How on Earth have you hurt Pat?!?!" I asked, enraged.

"I made him sit back and watch and act like he didn't love me whenever you and i were together. And, believe it or not, i did hurt him, alot. He called me a selfish basterd, said i only thing about myself, and he's probably right." He said.

"Where's Pat?"

"In his room. First door on the left." I got up and knocked on his door gently. When there was not response, i twisted the dorrknob and walked him, gently closing the door behind me. Patrick was laying in the corner of the bed, all curled up in blankets and pillows caving in around him. he didn't look at me as i walked over and sat down on the bed, just kept looking at the wall. His face much resembled Gabes; Puffy, red eyes, runny nose, his fist curled around a tissue that he probably won't even use. He was, in short, a tiny ball of emotion in the corner of a bed.

"Hi Pat." I said. Nothing. No smile (not that i was expecting that much) no hi, not even a wave or a look to insure me that he was even listening. No blinking, either. I was getting alittle worried.

"Pat, please look at me." I pleaded. He didn't bat an eye. I leaned over and gave him a little shove. Nothing. I pushed harder. he hit the wall, fell forward on his face, and lay there. Nothing. No protest, no grunts,no movement. Calm down, he could really not want to talk to you. Or....no! I can't think about that. I called for Gabe, not knowing what else to do. He was in there in a second.

"Something is wrong. i don't know..i just..." I started sobbing. Gabe told me to calm down, and leaned over Patricks limp body. I could see fear transform into terror as he checked Pats breathing, realizing that he wasn't.

"Call an ambulance!" He ordered. As i got out my cellphone and called an ambulance, telling them what was going on, Gabe willed Pat to live to stay with him. he held him up to his chest and cried. He rubbed hair away form Pats forehead, giving him a kiss, begging him to stay with him.

They're in love. I can't stand in the way of that.
